NOTE: It is amazing how deftly Jesus paints a true picture of Himself, and of His relationship with His Father. There are insights in the passage before us, that defy imagination! Onlyone such as Jesus - Son of man, Son of God, only begotten of the Father, and so muchmore - enables us to understand and faintly perceive His eternal relationship in the Godhead, and the almost incomprehensible humbling of Himself to take on the form of man, die for our sins, work plenteous Redemption and Reconciliation, now serve as our High Priestly Intercessor after the order of Melchizedek - and soon return as Eternal Judge, Lord of lords and King of kings!

And to think how He came unto His own, and His ownreceived Him not, but led in His crucifixion. And still, because of the sure-mercies of David, and the Covenant that God made with the Fathers: Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - He will stillforgive the sins of Israel, and use the Remnant of those born in a day - to restore the earth during His Millennial reign in great glory. Yet even this is not the end - for at the end of the 1000 years and the final defeat of Satan and his consignment to the “lake of fire” - then the New Jerusalem will descend from heaven to earth - as the Capstone of all the thoughts and plans of our God before Creation.

Blessed then be our God, our Elohim - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - who has chosen to fulfill the prayer of Jesus in John 17. Can we conceive of such grace? I think not! It will take Millennia in Heaven to fully come to mature understanding of the wonders of our God! J.A.W.
